Hello Chums!
It's your good friend pur pur pur Platypus here with another of my pur pur pur polls!
This time we're voting for the most crap story in Series Three and you have THREE votes you can use!
The one with the pur pur pur pig men is my favourite!!!
Although I like the scarecrows one too because The Doctor is a pur pur pur pedagogue in that one!
But remember, we're voting for the ones you think are MOST rubbish!
Okay my good pur pur pur pals, time to VOTE!

Lazarus, 42 (both empty boring runarounds) and Human Nature (boring, slushy and morally bankrupt to boot).

Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks: possibly almost the worst treatment of The Daleks in NuWho while the whole thing of Martha crushing on the Doctor hit eye roll levels of obnoxious, especially with Talulah's "musical theatre" quip. Frankly, it was a Dalek story in search of Manhattan rather than being a setting in search of a story. This literally could have been "Daleks in Copenhagen", "Daleks in Tokyo", "Daleks in Sicily" and virtually nothing would have been lost.
I'm always open to the Daleks experimenting with genetics and the whole Cult of Skarro thing is a nice nod back to the Baker and McCoy era Dalek stories, but this was just pure dreck.

It was a toss up between this or Runaway Bride for my third vote and in the end I opted for this. The Daleks with Pinky and Perky Pig men, led by quite literally a penis headed boss man! The utterly ludicrous ending of "Oh lazlo, I do still lerve you" - he's a fricken pig for god's sake woman! I'd previously always thought "Destiny Of The Daleks" with Boney M was the Daleks weakest entry, but this ridiculously stupid story made it suddenly seem like a Genesis of the Daleks by comparison. You can tell all the really shit bits in this were crowbarred in by Fathead, I bet you Helen Raynor never even had stupid bloody pig men or penis-headed american drawl speaking Dalek hybrids in her original script. It's really obnoxious by this stage just how badly Fathead completely destroys other writers scripts with his idiotic insertions.

Same dilemma for me too, Rob. I "forgave" Bride because it gave us Donna plus it was a Christmas romp, so you never really go into those with the expectation of it being more than mere fluff for the festive season (which is EXACTLY why I feel a regeneration episode is totally the wrong time for the event). Had Tennant regenerated in this episode, it would have elevated slightly even though it would have been a questionable death.

I think I let "Bride" off the hook because as incredibly dumb and annoying as it is, like you say it's a stupid festive filler episode and at least is Fathead being a twat within his own story which is certainly more acceptable than him coming along and completely trashing another writers work with his outright moronic idiocy. I felt really sorry for Helen Raynor taking all of the flack from large sections of fandom over the Manhattan story because of RTD's outright stupidness. Her story might have been reasonably good otherwise.

When women have said "men are such pigs" who'd have thought we'd see that happen literally, and in Dr Who!?

Bumping these polls up because I'd forgotten to announce my picks first time round.
Runaway Bride, Shakespeare Code and 42. The former two are utterly vacuous shite void of any merit whatsoever, and the latter is deathly dull despite being absurdly manic simultaneously.
Last of the Time Lords almost got a vote, and the Dalek two parter is pretty awful too. I'm not fond of most of series 3- it's better than 2, but still largely poor. Blink and Utopia are probably the best instalments of the lot.

The Lazarus Experiment - Bad story, awful and unnecessary cgi monster and the Tenth Doctor being an insufferable twat.
Human Nature - Tentwat gets turned up to 11, with his moral grandstanding , stupidity and cruelty all on full display.
Last of the Time Lord - what happens when a hack producer/writer is the edge of his abilities. Also Joker/Master

I suppose The Runaway Bride because it's essentially a prototype for the dreaded Series 4. I still have fond memories of watching it back in 2006, though.
I like all of Series 3 to be honest. Even the lesser stuff like Lazarus is still very engaging compared to some of the tripe that came out the previous year.
