This could easily be the worst Big Finish release of the year

A first draft of the script that became "Genesis of the Daleks" has been dramatized.

I've read some of the feedback on Gallifrey Base, and...yeah, they're not happy. Someone posted a listing of the run times on this 'story', there's only one full cast episode of this in the box set, which runs considerably overlength (45 minutes instead of the standard 25 or so for Classic serials) and the rest of the episodes are 2 to 3 minutes of characters reading out stage directions.

I don't understand the whole "lost stories" angle. There are a few that were never produced or whatever, probably for good reason. Really what they're doing is pumping out revisions of first drafts and abandoned ideas. The "lost stories" thing just gives it a flair of the mystique. I'll say it again, but BF was so much better when it wasn't directly connected to the DW franchise/production.

It was one thing when they did the original 23 or even the planned season 27. Since then though yeah it's just stuff that wasn't done for good reason.

On top of everything else, one review I just read stated that this supposed original script has had references to modern nuwho crap forced into it.i.e. the Time War.

Classy BF, real classy. You do a big promotion of a butchered original draft, with crap audio, threadbare voice acting (Davros apparently gets ONE line of dialog) and then you intercut it with nuwho crap to bait the nuwho fans.
