It gets a perfect 10 for me. Exceptional film with insanely good production values, visual effects and acting. Nothing beats the atmosphere of Gotham in this film for me. Then there's the action sequences and the epic Danny Elfman score.

Stylish, but choppy as hell. Burton perfected the formula in Batman Returns.

I'll give it an 8. It's a bit all over the place, but Nicholson and Keaton definitely carry it

I agree Maxil. It may not have the perfect story, and there are some stupid scenes like him sleeping upside down. Still overall visually it's an absolute masterpiece, Nicholson and Keaton are iconic, and the plot whilst a bit shallow in places (like Vale and Bruce's romance) Still holds together enough and to this day it's still by far the most effective reconstruction of Bruce's parents murder. The actor playing the young Jack doesn't get enough credit. His smile alone is the stuff of nightmares, and the echoing screams of the Wayne's really does add an extra layer of horror to it. You feel the young Bruce's world crashing down.
