Decided to put together a discussion/highlights thread for the final two episodes of the most 'engaging' rollercoaster that is the third and final season of the troubled Trek spin-off 'Picard'
Reunited with his old crew aboard the U.S.S Titan, Picard discovers he has a son with Beverly, Jack, who is haunted by visions of a red door and posseses the ability to read minds and sycornise with other people, allowing them to share his abilities. As the Next Generation comes together, they discover that the remnants of the Dominion, a rogue Changeling faction, are working in tandem with another antagonist to infiltrate and bring about the downfall of the entire federation on their 'FrontierDay' ceremony. With the very youth of Starfleet under threat from these enemies, can Picard, Riker, Troy, Beverly, Geordie and Data defend the federation one final time as a family?
Basically a ten hour fifth entry in the Next Generation movie franchise, Picard's third season has seen many highs and seldom lows. It is a series that has surprised and enthralled me, none of the usual b.s messaging, and indeed the message it goes with speaks to a great deal of generations in today's world and how we deal with those above or under our age. I already saw one 'woke' Trekkie dedicate a video to it, but they also find the show too enjoyable to detract anything from it.
Have any of you watched it? If you're willing to give it a go, I recommend it, here is Dave Cullen's non-spoiler overview of the series
And now, on to the spoiler highlights of the penultimate episode, Part 9: "Vox"
The reveal of the red door:
Jack Crusher meets the Borg Queen (voiced by Alice Krige)
The U.S.S Enterprise F leaves Spacedock, commanded by Admiral Shelby
The crew board the restored Enterprise-D
