UGH sorry but I hated the Morbius trolls. To me that's a fine example of why Memers are all moronic, jump on the bandwagon, sheepish bullies, whose heads would collectively explode if just one of them had an independent thought. Having a personality to a memer is like holy water to a vampire.
Morbius wasn't a bad movie. There I said it. It was perfectly fine in fact. I mean yeah it wasn't the greatest film ever made or a classic like the Dark Knight or the Burton movies, but for what it was, it was a fine, silly vampire movie. It did not deserve to be dogpilled on, bullied and picked on the way it did. I actually bought it because I kept thinking that it must have been like The Room or something and was expecting an absolute laugh, but it was nothing!
Just to be clear I am not saying that anyone who criticises the Marvels, or Morbius is like that. Obviously there are legit complaints, I was more just talking about these gits who share memes that they think are so clever, yet know virtually nothing about the subject.
For me memers and gits who jump on these bandwagons are just people who like guilt free bullying. It's like X-Factor viewers from years ago, who once they were told a certain contestant was rotten or it was okay to pick on them, would just follow suit and mercilessly tear into everything from their families, to their sexualities, to their dreams of being a singer etc. It reminds me of that bit in Alan Partridge where the builders are picking on Lynn and Alan keeps saying "yeah and it's okay to join in."
(I'm going to be controversial and say a lot of the Trump backlash was that. Obviously it wasn't quite the same as Trump was an arse, but still a lot of these arseholes that went to things like the woman's march and the celebrities like Kathy Lee Griffin who hated him with such a passion who clearly knew NOTHING about him, were definitely engaging in a little guilt free bullying.)

Ms. Marvel was the least watched Disney+ series and as a comic book was a frequent money loser for the publishing department, and currently doesn't have a title on the stands. How they think she can translate to a big screen audience mystifies me.
And Brie Larson still can't act.

It's like in South Park where they keep going on about how that guy Bob is ugly, when everybody looks the same. Is it really worse than say Iron Man 2 or 3, or any Thor movie, or any of these generic shitty Marvel movies? I mean yeah it's obviously not on a par with Guardians, the Burton movies, the Reeves Superman movies, the Nolan Batman movies, the Snyder cut, Wonder Woman, or hell even Man of Steel, but it's pretty bog standard superhero fare, yet is singled out as one of the worst films ever made? To be honest it's better than a lot of those, as at least Matt Smith was a tragic, interesting villain, unlike the bland generic shit villains in the Marvel movies. It's not even like the studio hyped it up. I mean I could totally understand if it was a case of they kept hyping it up as the best most nuanced movie of all time, and then it was just meh. Morbius should have just quietly flopped as another generic superhero movie and that was that, but it became a by word for one of the worst movies ever made? Anybody reading this who hasn't seen it and is expecting a Room. Trust me it isn't. Ironically you'll be disappointed because of how competent it is. |

I rather liked Iron Man 3... Ironically that's another one that gets slagged for little sane reason. I found it very 80s action movie, which is infinitely preferable to most Marvel stuff IMO. |

Well the point wasn't that it was so bad, just that much like Morbius it was fairly average. Even if some fans disliked it, it didn't become the absolute laughing stock that Morbius did. |

Two characters I know nothing about team up with a character I generally know from back before Marvel was trying, and failing, to make her their flagship character. Seems to suffer from the same try hard humour most marvel movies suffer from, plus pointless CGI space battles were everything is generic as hell. No thank you. |
