Ok so I love the stuff but I've been over indulging badly the last few months. So with the ever growing likelihood of diabetes & the finding out it damages by bones as well, I've finally decided to try and kick the habit and gone cold turkey.
I'm on my second day, doing ok but found some weird withdrawal affects. Headaches is the main one, but also a sense of thirst or dryness at the back of my throat that water doesn't quite quench. That feeling spreads through to the back of my head sometimes which is weird.
Gonna leave it at that as talking about it is actually making the symptoms more noticable.
Wish me luck.

Never really been one for the fizzy drinks. I have been altering my diet a lot the last couple of months, dropped ice creams and crisps, only having healthier cereals, no added sugar Greek yoghurt in place of sugary desserts, wholemeal bread etc. I can't give up my Iced Coffees though. I'm sorry, you'll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands.

Have you tried sparkling water? It has that fizzy taste but is practically the same as other waters.
Giving up fizzy itself is impossible for me. I only drink the sugar free stuff now though. Good luck on your journey.

I've started drinking Pepsi Max No Caffeine which tastes exactly the same but doesn't make you high like regular Pepsi does.

Is it going well? Better then I'd hoped. I confess I've had the one or two, but my cravings are far more in control.
