Come now, there's far worse than that. Almost anything with Tensquee in, for instance. And EVERYTHING with Pisstaker in!

I HAVE considered that...yes. I just want a few days break from doing polls first. Don’t blame you. There’ll be too many possible contenders for the worst story in that category once we get to it. 😂 If it's not Death in Heaven then I'm going to rant.

There's just so many to choose from. It's the inverse version of too many great classic stories.

Well yes, Tennant was obviously a disaster, but i think you'd be hard pressed to find a more smugly complacent and inappropriate hash of a "Doctor Who" script than Let's Kill Hitler. It just does nothing but jerk off and take the piss from beginning to end. Something like Planet of the Dead is obviously equally populist, braindead and appalling but doesn't display quite the same level of arrogant contempt for the programme and its audience. That's the problem with Steven Moffat; he can make an effort and do good things to begin with but at the slightest sign of success, he just becomes smug, self-satisfied and lazy and pisses it all away. That really all starts in this series with him, and this episode in particular.
As for Whittaker; well, her stuff really needs its own separate poll, otherwise she and Chibbers are gonna walk away with all the garlands...

I agree that Whittaker needs her own poll, not just because she will win out the park, but also because her stuff isn't even an attempt at doing Doctor Who. Death in Heaven though is still clearly the worst. The only good thing about it is that it led to a lot of erotic lesbian fic between Osgood and Missy LOL. (Though that's ruined by the knowledge that Osgood is actually a Zygon and Missy is really Peter Pratt.) Still I think it should be worst story that isn't Death in Heaven when we reach series 8 LOL.

I can’t pick Ghost Light or Greatest Show, so I’ll go with Curse, Revaluation and Web

That sounds like a great story - Revaluation of the Daleks! Colin: "I'll give you a fiver for the gold one." Davros: "Sold!"

More people voted for Corbyn in the last General Election in greater numbers than Brown, Miliband or indeed Blair on his last Election win. I expect you were backstage with Laura Kuenssberg frantically putting all the postal votes through the shredders before the polls closed, eh?

People claim it's great but then people don't vote for it To be honest, that sounds a little more like Starmer to me. Corbyn got absolutely lambasted by the political commentariat, from both the right-wing rags of the Sun and the Mail to the liberal capitalist centrist outlets akin to the Guardian and BBC. All of his support was based on grassroots influence rather than media backing. Conversely, everyone raved about Starmer when he first became leader, lauded as "Mr Electable" by the liberal commentariat and the bulk of the mainstream press, yet his performance in the recent local elections was absolutely dismal anyway.

If we want to do Doctor Who/Labour comparisons then it goes like this.
RTD = New Labour, the shallow, populist version that did enjoy success back in the day, but sadly sold its soul in the process.
Moffat = Brown, the one everyone thought would be brilliant, but who was a total disaster in all respects.
Chinballs = Starmer, the one who tried to recapture the shallow, populist version from the early 00s, sadly not realising that times have moved on and cool Britania and the sub pound shop Buffy style are out of date and have been for decades.
DW seemed to skip Milliband, (the bland, nothing successor) and Corbyn (the one who tried to get it back to what it was, but had to deal with the shallow Blairites/Fitzroy crowd followers.)
DW it seemed just cut straight to the end LOL.
