I'm not including the GELF version in Series 4 which I read was incorrectly credited as Kochanski anyway. This is between Clare Grogan (Series 1-2, 6) and Chloë Annett (7-8, Back to Earth) Clare:   Chloë:  I slightly prefer Clare Grogan in terms of looks, but they're both gorgeous ladies. I actually prefer Chloë as Kochanski and think she's very underrated. I don't know why they changed her hair in Series 8 because she looked amazing in Series 7. Still, Clare is a yummy Scottish woman with an accent to die for. I certainly look forward to her guest appearances when I watch the series in order. |

Grogan. And I'm afraid I preferred her character too. She also made more sense as Lister's ideal woman, since despite her senior rank she was portrayed as a very down to earth working class lass, very much opposed to the weird upper class ice princess of Annett. I can't even really see what Lister would have seen in her, unless it was just lack of competition lol

I haven't seen beyond series 5 yet, so I have to vote for Grogan. I love the smirk. She just looks like she's having a great time, and would be someone to have a great time with.  |

The woman that gets gunned down before we see Kochanski played the old woman in the latest DW Christmas Special. Anita Dobson I think her name is. |

Grogan was in the underrated 80s band Altered Images. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I quite like her singing voice. Shame they didn't release a song called "I'm having a woman's period"

I've finished the show. I actually prefer Annett's Kochanski now. At least in s8. She's such a great comedian.

Yeah, it seems like Doug has consciously reverted the show to its 'classic format'. And in fairness, it works very well. I'm especially glad Lovett is back in the fold now. He's my favourite.
