I'm surprised Battlefield got any votes. I like it, but the other three are obviously superior, though Battlefield was a strong exit for the Brig at least.

I opted for the other three as well. I go back and fourth on Battlefield the most, whereas I've always regarded the other three rather highly. I'm still pondering on who to vote for in the "Davison era vs McCoy era" thread. I'm alternating both ways at the moment...

I'm one of the few that prefers Battlefield to Survival. Despite a few clunky bits (Boooooooooom) I find the story rather enjoyable and interesting. It certainly stands up as one of the most exciting 80s Who stories for me. There's nothing cooler than UNIT fighting knights from a parallel dimension and the Brig taking on demon.
Fenric and Ghost Light are obviously the stand out stories here.

This one's easy. Ghost Light is the weak one.

Ah, Season 26! The final hurrah of the classic era! There are so many great stories to choose from, but if I had to pick just one... I'd have to go with "Ghost Light".
That story is just so wonderfully weird and atmospheric! It's like a Victorian Gothic novel meets Doctor Who, and I am here for it! The setting of Gabriel Chase is just dripping with eerie ambiance. All those stuffed animals and creepy portraits... It's like stepping into a haunted house! And the characters are all so deliciously eccentric. From the scheming Josiah Samuel Smith to the enigmatic Control, they're all bursting with personality. But what really sets "Ghost Light" apart is its themes and ideas. The whole concept of evolution and survival of the fittest is explored in such a fascinating way. It makes you think about the nature of progress and what it means to adapt. Plus, it's got some killer quotes!

I'm one of the few that prefers Battlefield to Survival And me. Ghost Light/Fenric/Battlefield I don't mind Survival, but it's my least favourite of the post Season 24 McCoy stories. It isn't even a case of me thinking it's bad. I just don't like it as much as the rest.

I don't know if I'd put it quite so high, but it's a memorable and fun adventure, and I really like how it explored Ace's character. Plus it's Ainley at his best.

I'll tell you what though, if you get the chance watch the extended/deleted scenes on the DVD/Blu ray. It really made me appreciate the production. It's incredible to see the planet without the red sky and the additional effects. There's no atmosphere to any of it, but when you watch the actual serial it's got nice smoke effects, effective red lighting and that colour box treatment on the sky. That red reflection of the planet in the water is actually a red light they put at the top of a hill.
