- Christopher Lee's Dracula
- The Joker (any version will do LOL, but special shout out to the Mark Hamill version.)
- Spike from Buffy
- Dennis Reynolds from It's Always Sunny
- Rumplestiltskin (Once Upon A Time)
- Ash (Evil Dead, he is not cruel like the others, BUT he does have a bad habit of getting pretty much all his female love interests killed horribly. They're about the only people he ironically doesn't save so yeah I think he qualifies.)
Well this one was harder to choose than the others. They're all pretty bad in their own way. The Christopher Lee Dracula is one of the most evil characters in any work of fiction. He abuses, tortures and kills well just about anyone near to him. Wives, servants, passerbys, enemies. The Joker meanwhile famously abuses his girlfriend Harley Quinn and led her to a life of crime. Spike though coming good in the end, still stalked her, chained her up, made a sleazy sex bot of her, took advantage of her when she was depressed and tried to rape her. Dennis meanwhile is possibly a serial killer and at least emotionally abusive, Rumple though again coming good in the end, lied to her and did creepy shit for years, and Ash well we've been over, despite being a decent guy, women around him tend to have a lower life expectancy than even Lee's Dracula!
In the end though I narrowed it down to the Joker and Lee's Dracula. I think the abuse in those portrayals was by far the most disturbing and horrifying. Even more incredible when you consider that it was done for a children's cartoon!
Honestly after this you just have to watch a clip of the Joker being beaten to a pulp by Batman LOL. PS this is the perfect video to show hipster couples who dress up as the Joker and Harley and say they are relationship goals.

Ugh just saw someone put music over the end of it. Why would you do that? It's not a funny scene?

Todd F*cking Howard is the worst boyfriend in history. First of all, he cheats on this woman: His girlfriend, Nicki (Estee Chandler) is possibly the most caring girl in any film. She couldn't give a shit that Todd is really a werewolf. She finds it absolutely fascinating and gives him words of encouragement and support. Todd however completely ditches her in favour of two attractive social leeches when he gets popular. During an argument with Nicki, which, by the way, is all of his fault, Todd throws a dead frog in her direction but thankfully she moves out of the way. He then completely ignores her when she spills her heart out over him later in the film. Though eventually Todd does see the error of his ways and gets back with Nicki, I still find his past behaviour towards her disgraceful. After all that, she STILL helps him study for an upcoming test. Sorry, this has turned into a best girlfriend thread instead lol

Ackshually, if you really think about it, Ash's girlfriends only die like two-three times. It just seems like more because they keep replaying Linda's death with different actresses lmao.

To be fair to Spike, all those things were when he was sans soul, so not really responsible.

Dracula in the book Dracula’s Demeter. He lusts for a girl only to completely lose interest upon turning her. He then dumps her into the sea at the nearest opportunity.
Trevor Morgan from East Enders. I have a particular hatred for women beaters.

Ackshually, if you really think about it, Ash's girlfriends only die like two-three times. It just seems like more because they keep replaying Linda's death with different actresses lmao. Well since I'm a nerd let's count shall we LOL. Linda, who yes admittedly has 7 deaths as a result of recasting, and refilming them LOL. She still has 4 deaths in canon though. When the evil takes her (Which is redone three times with three different actresses in Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and the intro of Army of Darkness) getting her head cut off (which is redone twice with two actresses in Evil Dead 1 and 2) head cut in half with a chainsaw as a demon in Evil Dead 2, and then head smashed in Ash vs Evil Dead LOL. Henrietta's grand daughter in Evil Dead 2 meanwhile is killed by the evil hand. I'm not sure if you could call her his girlfriend as nothing happens between them, but it is hinted in the end when they hug. Maybe it would have gone that way had she not been knifed? The medevil girl in Army of Darkness does survive, but she is raped first (in a suprisingly horrible scene in the movie.) Also she may have technically died as she not only got possessed but impaled too. Her return seems to be something of an unexplained miracle, but since she lived, I'll say she got off luckier compared to the others. Amanda, his season 1 interest from Ash vs Evil Dead is killed twice. First beaten, stabbed in the neck and impaled by the evil Ash, then brought back as a Deadite and decapitated. His season 2 love interest does admittedly survive, but her teenager daughter is possessed and killed horribly. The mother of his daughter meanwhile gets her head cut off in the first episode of season 3. His fangirl meanwhile, which I suppose doesn't count but what the hell, she still worships him, gets abducted by Dana Delorenzo and Lucy Lawless, bled out, has the skin on her back peeled off and Dana finally finishes her by putting her fingers through her eyes, before she gets brought back as a demon and killed again! So overall? 3 main girlfriends killed (two of them killed more than once.) One potential love interest killed. One fangirl tortured horribly for hours and then killed twice. Another possibly killed and brought back. Two survived, who still suffered horribly, one being raped and possessed and the other losing her daughter. Yeah I'm going to say it's still not a good idea to be Ash's girlfriend LOL.

To be fair to Spike, all those things were when he was sans soul, so not really responsible. True but the same is true for a lot of those other bad boyfriends and girlfriends on this list, like Lee's Dracula, or hell even the Joker who is so utterly out of his mind, so if we included them it's only fair to include Spike. The funny thing is Angelus doesn't make the cut. I mean he is far, far, far, far, far more disgusting than Spike overall, and ironically a lot of that is because he is a misogynistic killer, and also ironically souled Angel was much creepier around Buffy than souled Spike. He didn't stalk her like Angel, wasn't as jealous (he only was when it was Angel who he had history with) and Buffy was much older too making it less icky. Still Angelus didn't really do anything horrible to Darla and surprisingly seemed to forgive her for betraying him right away and didn't even complain about it. Though he did kind of betray her to Holtz I suppose, but even then he only did it to buy time, escaped and then warned her. Compared to other guys on the list that's fairly tame. Surprisingly Angelus doesn't seem to be that bad as far as fictional boyfriends go, to his spouse that is LOL.

It's mean, but I'm going to nominate Toby from Wicked Science, who despite supposedly being in an increasingly serious relationship with his girlfriend Nikki, seems intent on NOT sharing the secret of his genius powers with her. By this point, his best friend knows, his cousin knows, his best frenemy knows, her best friend knows, the school bully knows and even Nikki's (evil) brother knows yet, despite professing how serious he is about her, he seems to have no intention of sharing such a massive part of his life with her. This relationship is clearly DOOMED.

Clark is the worst boyfriend, because for some daft reason he insisted on dating Lana and not the loyal cutie hanging on his every word. Chlark 4 life.

Dracula in the book Dracula’s Demeter. He lusts for a girl only to completely lose interest upon turning her. He then dumps her into the sea at the nearest opportunity. Trevor Morgan from East Enders. I have a particular hatred for women beaters. I did think about Trevor, but to be honest he disturbed me too much, he didn't even feel like a fictional character. Even though others on this list are abusive, there is at least a level of fantasy in them, like the Joker. IE you're never going to meet someone like him, but with Trevor he scared me too much because there are guys like him. I should say that this list was supposed to be who is the worst out of the list I chose LOL. I intended both this and the bad girlfriend one to be a poll, but I guess I still don't know how to make polls and it just came out as a bullet point list both times. Still by all means tell me who your least favourite boyfriends and girlfriends are in fiction as I think both lists have taken on a life of their own.

In that case Dracula would be my vote. As bad as Joker is to Harley, she at least has her own free will and has broken away from him. Being a Bride of Dracula means your bound to his will forever. And like with the events of Dracula’s Demeter, Dracula in most faithful adaption of the novel character, lusts after women only for as long as they are alive, once they are his he tends to lose intreast in them quickly and are little more then a useful tool at best or a thing to be tossed away at the nearest opportunity at worst.

Bruce Wayne in the first half of Batman 1989. Just kind of leaves Vicki hanging for most of it until he eventually goes to her place. There's even a song called Vicki Waiting from the movie's soundtrack. To hell with Gotham if I was him, I'd much rather tap Kim Basinger
