Quite a tough one for me as I pretty much like the whole series. I particularly love the Dalek two parter and Blink, but I think I'm going to go for Human Nature/Family of Blood. The three part finale is pretty good too.

Such a cracking series. God knows what went wrong the following year.

RTD got pissed that everyone preferred Human Nature and Blink to any of his, so doubled down on the dumbassery just to piss off fandom.

What a numpty. It bewilders me that lots of people think Series 4 is the pinnacle of the RTD era. I suppose it's slightly better than Series 2 (which isn't saying an awful lot), but even the good stuff isn't really all that special. Journey's End is the ultimate RTD shopping list story and it's bloody terrible as a result. People slag off the Master trilogy, but it's much better than the other two Tennant finales.

I’ll go with blink as it’s got the makings of greatness but is stunted by the nuwho format.
Family of Blood is warped version of a better novel, with the added bonus of making the Doctor look like a complete cockend for not only putting everyone at risk with his action but also by giving poor Martha the real thin end of the wedge. Not only has he forced her to be his secret guardian in a very dangerous situation but he’s also lumbered her in a time period we’re she is a second class citizen.

I almost went for Manhattan. Probably the most entertaining story post McCoy. I like how it's not as pretentious as other Dalek stories of the era. It isn't trying to be a big, epic finale. It's just 90 minutes of glorious nonsense. Who cares if the actors didn't go to New York. The plates and sets are exceptional.
