I do feel Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways is good because it's darker than most of NuWho and the Daleks feel like a genuine threat rather than a complete joke. Lynda is also a fine character and one of the better female characters that he wrote. In terms of production it's terrific. Great, moody lighting and a memorable score by Murray Gold. It looks quite dated but in a good way. 2005 TV has a certain charm to it compared to the glossy, HD stuff nowadays.
