Quite shocked and saddened by this news. Because of my age I remember him most as Hagrid from the Harry Potter films and also as Valentin in the Brosnan Bond films. Will definitely be missed.

Awww that's a shame. Such a talented actor and awesome guy all around. Had no idea he was ill either. He was one of these actors that I think everybody had at least one performance of his that they really loved. For me that was in the Scottish sitcom Still Game. He was absolutely hysterical in that, yet quite moving and poignant too.
He will be missed.
