Autumn and Winter

I can't wait until the end of summer. The end of September through to early January is my favourite time of year. It gets colder and darker during the nights. I usually watch a lot of spooky stuff in October like many do as well. The evenings last much longer after the clocks go back as well which is great because I tend to feel alive when it's night time. November is when everyone starts to get excited for Christmas and December is when the countdown begins. Lots of chocolate, watching movies by the fire, putting the tree up and spending time with loved ones. Oh, and lots of nice gifts!  It's all pretty good until mid January when you realize there's not much else left to celebrate and Christmas is long gone. At least it's still cold and dark.

Autumn's my favorite season mainly due to post summer relief (I struggle with on and off heat rash so the high temperatures play havoc with me) but winter is a mixed bag in that I don't mind December and February but January is too grim in areas.

I hate the heat. That heat wave we had in the summer was intolerable. I prefer the rain and the dark clouds.
