That was very very silly and very very bad, but also the fan service was 10 / 10

That was very very silly and very very bad, but also the fan service was 10 / 10 I thought it was absolutely atrocious. Like bad fan fiction honestly. I also thought it was hilarious how little Jodie was in her own last episode. LMAO she was such a huge success she had to have what about 6 other Doctors in her last story. Utterly pathetic, member berry, unoriginal shit.

Complete and utter shite. Like a big-budget Dimensions in Time, only even more bereft of logic.
I might write a traditionally longer review shortly, but those are my brief thoughts.

I felt like a kid seeing McCoy and Davison interact with their companions, and my boy Tennant back with all the what-what-WHATs! And Ian! It was delightful. The Rasputin sequence also gave me my biggest belly laugh of the modern era since the Doctor rolled in with a tank playing the electric guitar. The sure sign of a writer with zero f#cks left to give anymore. Gloriously stupid.

Wasn't actually gonna watch this but we've had family staying over and in the end, morbid curiosity got the better of us.
It was shit (shock! horror!) but it wasn't ''kick the TV in'' level stupidity like Kill The Moon, Orphan 55 and The Timeless Child. More a ''haven't we been here before?'' feeling that NuWho finales generally tend to invoke.
Bronze Daleks trying to blow up the world only to be defeated by a few button twiddles - CHECK Cybermen being stock henchmen who still sound the same after 16 years - CHECK Master being an annoying c**t- CHECK (How Dawan made Simm look like Delgado is impressive for all the wrong reasons) Story tries everything but the kitchen sink and yet has f*ck all script in general- CHECK
All in all, just the literal definition of apathy. Nothing new yet nothing worth the outrage Apart from the Master dancing to Boney M. That managed to even piss my brother in law off as well.

Daleks invading the earth, Master/Cyberman team up, Doctor being a whiny bitch about regeneration. No way all things that were completely ground breaking.

Brief thoughts are all that are warranted. I'll include more- from the words of an infinitely more intelligent writer than myself: "A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing..."

I wrote a review but then erased everything that I hadn't written. I honestly don't know what to say. I'm not very good at writing full reviews so I'll just do it like this:
Pros:
Ace References to the past (Adric, Past Doctors, the 7th Doctor's jumper, "Brave heart, Tegan", the baseball bat and the call back to Survival. The scene at the end. Bonnie Langford still looks amazing! The scene between the 7th Doctor and Ace. Clumsily written, but made me happy. Some of Jodie's performance was OK.
Cons:
Tegan. Sorry, but Janet Fielding is a poor actress and doesn't have as many memorable moments as Sophie does. The Master. This actor playing him is absolutely horrendous. The plot. Writing strong stories is clearly not Chibnall's strong point. No real layers to the plot and the pacing is pretty bad. Jodie's Doctor is poorly handled. She should be front and centre in her own regeneration story. This actress has been so screwed over by Chibnall it's actually unreal. When she does appear she almost feels like a side character. Shame because Jodie actually gave a somewhat decent performance. The Yaz/Jodie stuff goes nowhere really. I reckon the LGBT crowd should complain about being seriously mislead and strung along. Tennant. I'm not a fan I'm afraid.
Pretty disappointing. You can't even blame Whittaker this time. A few points for Ace (she's still a badass and puts boring old Tegan to shame) and the fan service stuff but not much else.

I noticed that Chibnall is a lot better writing for the other Doctors - his episodes during the Smith era weren't that bad either. Definitive proof that he should only be part of a writing team, not leading one. Hell, he did a much better Davison comeback here than Moffat did with Time Crash.

I did say a while back that I wondered if the Tegan meeting the Cybermen again would trigger some memory of Adric's death. I'll give him a few points for that.

Honestly it was embarrassing. Just member berries. I completely agree with you that Jodie was sidelined. I think she was still pretty bad. (Pulled one last scrunch face before the regeneration.) Still to have six other Doctors in it was utterly pathetic. Tom Baker was so smart not to bother. Also yes Jodie and Yaz must go down as one of the absolute worst cases of queer baiting in the entire history of the genre. What's Chinballs excuse going to be for not having the Doctor and Yaz be a couple? Go on Chibbers? Was it us ming mongs again stopping you?
