Recently I have begun spending some cash on a series of comics, at some point I intend to start creating original works, but for now I'm content putting out fanfiction of licensed properties With the aid of a very skilled artist called Xavier Rojo, I have revived the Amazing Spider-Man Newspaper Strip, which was discontinued in 2019 and relegated to reruns following the passing of Stan Lee in 2018. So far he has helped me put together nine strips in total, with a tenth on the way. Each strip runs silently, an artistic choice of mine. Read the strip here zaredit.wordpress.com/tag/the-unofficial-amazing-spider-man-newspaper-strip/Following the publication of the tenth strip, we'll be going on hiatus with it so Xavier can focus in the month of September on the first five or six chapters of a fully lettered serialized Spider-Man strip called 'The Rescue', a dream project of mine for well over twenty-seven years. Also currently in production is "Spider-Man '98", an attempt at continuing Spider-Man: The Animated Series, two pages so far have been put together by another of my art team, Ebraga. zaredit.wordpress.com/tag/spider-man-98/

Good luck man, I will be very interested in the 98 one as I loved that show. You can show it to John Semper at so e point as he always loves seeing how much the show still means to people (probably because he gets so little in the way of official credit sadly.)
PS it is funny how you are getting a guy called Xavier to make a Spider-Man comic. Would be like if my co author for Doctor Who was called James Kirk, or if I told you me and my good friend Willow are reviving Xena, whilst me and my other friend Gabrielle are reviving Buffy.

I look forward to the inevitable revival of Alien Nation with you and your good muse Giles.

Plans have changed since my last update (now deleted)
There will still be sporadic updates to the newspaper strip, and we hope to get at least one edition of it out in October, but I am no longer committed full time to it, I and Xavier are trying to get the remaining pages of 'The Rescue' produced by the end of the year. Don't know if we'll reach that goal, but I have been fine tuning the script and changing things here and there to tighten the pacing and give the artist plenty of fun things to do.
The newspaper strip will now be illustrated by another artist, El G, who's work begins with the October strip.
After The Rescue is finished, I'll try to sort out what Xavier can do next, should I ask him to do something original?

Updates
-After some thinking, I've decided to make Spider-Man 98 a three issue mini-series that wraps up the show. Issue Two is complete and the first page is currently in production, third issue is being written.
-I will be working on original, much shorter/simpler strips in the new year, and build to a much larger project in the Spring or Summer, probably another Spider-Man story and a TMNT story.
-I was going to have Xavier draw an X-Rated Jodie era Doctor Who strip but decided to keep his hands clean of that sort of thing for now, although I'm quite keen on putting something Who related out for the 60th anniversary.

I think you were right to drop the X rated Jodie strip. Her Doctor was never designed for that kind of thing. I mean again leaving aside the, do you hate her or love her Doctor thing, she was always meant to be wholesome and family friendly, so to me the audience you'd be aiming it for, I assume Jodie fans, might find it offensive. I know there were a lot of lesbian drawings of Jodie and other female characters, but again they were chaste. PS I'd just like to say that I do regret sharing them here. I was NEVER making fun of the people who drew them as that would be punching down and I don't blame them as after all they were just responding to what the show had become. I was just pointing out how ridiculous it was that Tom Baker and Peter Pratt were now lesbian icons, IE how far removed the revival now was. Still in hindsight sharing it on the forum might look like I was trying to humiliate them and I feel bad about that. Only good thing is hardly anybody comes here apart from to observe the drama LOL.

I'm a bit of a perv at the end of it all, can't really help that, I used to have gal friends who did not mind ever getting topless around me in school. I get Jodie is meant to project a wholesome image, but I feel that in the New Adventures novels you probably would have seen the Doc fully embracing that sensual side of her. If you're going to be a woman at all, for heaven's sake act like one.

Found out Tuesday I've went overbudget again, so the following action is being taken
-No further spending in October -Unofficial Spider-Man Newspaper Strip will come to a temporary end after the third storyline, which I've cut down from eight parts to four -Spider-Man '98 will continue, but will have sporadic updates. -The Rescue will continue as normal

Recently I've been working with a canadian artist I met on Fiverr by the name of Erik Ryess. He had helped me out with two Doctor Who themed comic strips in recent weeks, so I thought as a change of pace I'd commission a Beano piece

Those are excellent quality. They look completely professional. Will you be uploading them to youtube in a similar fashion to that brilliant Liberation of the Daleks comic?
