I have no idea why people get so worked up over something as small as question marks on the 80s costumes. I just think it's a nice little additional personally. I think McCoy's jumper looked awesome. Someone at my old college wore that jumper frequently and I've been meaning to get one for myself for a few years now.

I don't mind them on Tom/Davo/Col's collars as a subtle easter egg/gimmick although The jumper was a little bit too on the nose with it and I think limiting it to the umbrella would have tied in with the previous costumes but it's hardly worth the outcry and it does have some level of eccentricity and anachronistic appeal compared to most the 2005 onwards costumes bar Smith's.

Fitzroy crowd - Question marks ruin the mystery of the character. What a complete disaster for the show!!!
Also Fitzroy crowd - Chibnell has revealed all of the Doctors past, his entire history, all his relatives, his origins, his entire ancestral line. To the point that the 'Who' part in the shows title is totally redundant. No big deal. If you complain about that you're a hater!!!

It's kind of daft, but also cute
McCoy's jumper was a bit too much, though.

I actually think they look sillier on the collars than the jumper. The jumper's fine - it's just an odd pattern. But who has that on their collars?

Not really, in fact when I first started watching their era the only time I think I really noticed was McCoy's umbrella.
I think it's a nice, silly contrast to 80s Doctors more... shall we say darker mind sets.
