Forces TV is apparently shutting down, the channel which currently shows a range of Classic Doctor Who stories as well as Blake's 7, Brittas Empire and recently Miami Vice. In short, the best television channel in the UK is going. Damn shame, really.

I dunno, lots of channels are closing down apparently. I think Forces want to focus on actual news rather than shows. It's a shame because it was the ultimate channel for lovers of old school shows. |

I'll miss catching the end credits of Spencer For Hire before every Classic Who watch. Catchy and underrated little number.

That's TV were showing Hale and Pace episodes at one point, but now their evening schedule is dedicated to actor death conspiracies. Just can't find a decent channel anymore.

I miss the old Challenge channel. Used to love Takeshi's Castle narrated by Craig Charles. That was on all of the time. Ninja Warrior was another favourite. The new Takeshi's Castle show narrated by Jonathan Ross on Comedy Central is nowhere near as good.

That's TV are showing Hale and Pace every Saturday night (or very early Sunday morning) now. Nice to see it on the television again and hearing people say they're enjoying it. Just need one of these channels to show Classic Who again. |
