Knowing Of Actors Before Doctor Who

Did you ever run across Who actors before you watched it.

One of the first for me was ironically Ainley as he played First Mate Dietz in the Land That Time Forgot. A member of the German Subs crew, Dietz was a minor character in the book, but in the film he is arguable its chief antagonist. Ainley, while more subdued then in his other roles, still gives a great performance.

Troughton in Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger and later Tom in the Golden Voyage of Sinbad.
