I've got no first hand info myself, I don't know if anyone's mentioned it here befor, but Chibnell apparently recently did an interview in DW magazine and it's contents are pretty damming.
He admits that he had no plan, goodbye chinballs master plan theory, and that he was basically making it up as he went along.
First drafts of scripts made it to screen.
There will be no conclusion to the Timeless Child story line, no revealing of memories and he has no idea were Ruth fits. He just uses the "to restore mystery to the Doctor" line as an excuse.
The entire era is a total waste of f*cking time.

Of course he didn't have a plan. You can plainly see that from the muddled s*it that ended up on screen.

Then I saw him cast Jodie and I realised that underneath that talentless hack was a shallow, jump on the bandwagon, out of touch twonk desperate to be relevant. I'm afraid there were no steamy scenes. Just the two of them looking at each other, and a bit where Jodie awkwardly says "If I was going on a date wi someut, it'd be you Yaz!" Mr Tardis however did praise the bisexual lighting of the episode though. |
