Post Christmas related content here. That can be songs, Christmas trees or what Christmas stuff you're watching to get in the mood.

We're putting the tree up at the weekend. Will probably start watching Christmas movies from next week.

Tree and decorations went up at the start of the week. We usually do it mid-week but we have the nephew to look after now.
Not sure what to do over the festive break. Checked the TV listings as they became available and not much is on across the regular channels. Will probably listen to the Dark Season audio on Christmas Day in the morning.

We usually have a fry up in the morning and speak to relatives on the phone. Last year I watched several Simpsons Christmas episodes in the morning and watched Prison of Azkaban in the afternoon. I had a meltdown in the evening sadly, but I think I'll be fine this year. I've got my sister's wedding to think about first which is happening just a few days before Christmas.

As for the TV schedule, I see Home Alone 2 is being shown yet again on Channel Four on Christmas evening. That's the third or fourth time in a row the film has been shown on that day at that time.

Channel 4 are also showing the Rugrats trilogy again. I remember catching the run of them in 2017 but had to replace my Sky box, I may record them again now that the nephew is older. C4 are also airing the Sonic the Hedgehog movie this weekend. Wish they had saved that for Christmas Eve or Day instead.

I grew up with the one where they're lost in the forest with Tommy's younger brother. I don't recall watching the other ones.

I watched Merry Christmas, Mr.Bean earlier this afternoon. Classic comedy with some of the best situations in the series. His girlfriend Irma is so cute too although she disappears from the series after this. Maybe Mr.Bean not buying her the engagement ring was the last straw for her. This has definitely put me into the Christmas spirit though and I will probably watch it again with my mum nearer Christmas.

I've asked for The Essential Terrance Dicks Volume 1 book collection. It has Dalek Invasion of Earth, The Abominable Snowmen, The Wheel in Space, The Auton Invasion and Day of the Daleks (One I own already, but have never read). I'll have a lot to read over the next month.

Watched Home Alone last night. Definitely one of my top three Christmas films of all time. I'm going to watch The Santa Clause with Tim Allen next.

After a relatively slow start to the month and despite home life being hectic and stressful again, I am finally starting to feel the Christmas spirit, even if the tree and decorations still haven't been set up. We'll probably set it all up over the next week. I'm still not entirely in the mood though- family drama never seems to subside during this time of year. Sorry to be a downer for now.

Well it's not going to be much of a Christmas for me either. Neither me or my Mum particularly feel like it now.

I must admit that the build up to New Year's Day is my second favourite time of year. New Year's Eve is a favourite day mainly because we all always get a nice Chinese takeaway, watch a couple of films and fireworks and have a good laugh until the early hours of the morning. I always look forward to leaving negative stuff behind with the year and create resolutions for the new one. January is a bit crap though because everyone goes back to being miserable again and Christmas is gone. I spend half of it pining for the holiday season again. I'm going to make it Doctor Who month next year so it's less depressing.
