I like a lot of low rated films on the site. It says a lot about my taste, but I've always enjoyed lesser loved films.

I try not to use sites like IMDB, as they just make my head explode with the stupidity of people.

I'm not shore why it's rated so lowly though? Most of the acting is ok, though the nazi's are over the top, and the caste were likable. The special effects... well this was the sci-fi in 2006, so dirt cheap is putting it nicely. There are also some logical mess ups, such as the titular monster not getting a scratch from a tank but gets it's hand cut off with a knife. Yet for all that this is easily one of the better films they ever put out, a broken mirror in a pile of shite if you will.

I've never liked anything in the 1s before. I suppose they're 1s for a reason. Films in the 3s I generally like for some reason. I do agree that people are sheep when it comes to sites like IMDB. I just go in with an open mind and most times I'm pleasantly surprised.

I like how Ghostbusters (2016) has gone from a 5.4 to a 6.9 in the space of about a year and a half. Nothing suspicious there at all. Anyone who knows IMDB knows that films released recently will rise or fall by the day, but it's incredibly unlikely for a six year old film to rise that much over a short space of time. Some films remain on the same rating for years before they change. LOL IMDB even says " Our rating mechanism has detected unusual voting activity on this title." Dodgy stuff...
