My rankings would be: 1. McCoy 2. Troughton 3. Tom Baker 4. Davison 5. Hartnell 6. Pertwee 7. Whittaker 8. McGann 9. Colin 10. Smith 11. Capaldi 12. Eccleston 13. Tennant Oh come on Maxil. If you must praise Jodie, go for her singing at least. She's not fit to be above Pertwee's obvious stunt double in Monster of Peladon. Meanwhile I'm shocked that you would have McGann above Colin considering how much you used to like him?

I really would be fascinated to know exactly what subliminal messages were contained in Sunday's broadcast...

She has all the quirks you'd expect from the Doctor and she also has a very friendly demeanor. I'd rather be saved by her than Colin Baker's Doctor (who I still like, by the way). She looks way better with longer hair as well.

She looks way better with longer hair as well. Maxil how can I put this? Jodie is atrocious in every conceivable way. Her casting was actually an insult to the role of the Doctor. It was basically, let's not cast it on merit, let's cast it on agenda pushing and who I've worked with in the past. That is literally the only way an actor as woefully out of their depth as Jodie could even be considered for the role of the Doctor. Her voice was AWFUL. The accent was too strong, and he pitch was too squeaky and demeanour too breezy to be authoratitive, she pulled Arnold Rimmer/Mr Bean style expressions in an effort to be eccentric. Difference is these guys pulled these kinds of expressions to be look stupid and annoying for comedy. Not charming and endearing. Her costume was also ghastly. It managed to combine the worst of Eccelston and Colin in terms of being bland like Eccelston's and tasteless like Colins. She also seemed to think speaking really fast, actually saying "I'm zany" = being alien. Also she showed no respect to the previous actors in any way shape or form. Let's see from saying that she watched two episodes and decided that they were not for her as they were just men, to saying her favourite doctor was the one from Back to the Future, to saying the show always celebrated the white male gaze until she came along, to doing so little research that she asked her make up lady if she knew anything about the character. I'd argue she even showed a lack of respect to women in the genre too, frequently saying that women never did anything interesting when she was young, and doing that obnoxious breaking the glass ceiling advert. (Which by the way in hindsight is f*cking hysterical when you consider how badly it flopped.) LMAO Jodie's casting was a triumph of nepotism and agenda pushing over actual talent and she hoped that both of those things could help her wing it in the role, IE critics would be silenced with sexist accusations and her mates in the media and people with a similar agenda could hype her up to get by, hence why she did no research on the role and had no respect for it. It's great that it blew up for her in this respect, not out of pettiness, but only because perhaps it will serve as a lesson to others in the future that these iconic series and characters aren't just vehicles for a particular actors career or agenda bullshit. Then again pigeons learn faster than the Fitzroy Crowd or DW fandom so?

"she pulled Arnold Rimmer/Mr Bean style expressions in an effort to be eccentric." Not as bad as this guy:

"she pulled Arnold Rimmer/Mr Bean style expressions in an effort to be eccentric." Not as bad as this guy: Yeah it was bad when he did it, but at least he generally reserved it for when he was surprised and hurt. Jodie did it all the time. I'm not that big a fan of Tennant's Doctor, but I must say that in those last few minutes I honestly did feel a relief that even he was the Doctor again.
