Na, just kidding. RoboCop 2. That piece of shit is an absolute disgrace and I will fight anyone who dares to claim that it's better than RoboCop 3. I've never seen such a meanspirited and charmless mess before. Literally none of the characters are likeable and one of the few "sad" moments in the film involves the death of a drug addicted murdering kid. No, I don't feel anything for him at all. He killed police officers for fun at one point in the movie. I find it funny how people find a jetpack RoboCop over the top yet seem to have no problem with the main villain of this movie being a drug addicted robot called, wait for it, RoboCop 2. How inspiring is that! f*ck off, Frank Miller. I also loathe how Johnson and the Old Man are portrayed as out right villains in this movie. The Old Man was better than Dick Jones in the first and was very thankful for RoboCop saving his life, but in this one he's an absolute scumbag and involved in a conspiracy to murder the mayor. Oh, and the score. I'm usually a big fan of movie scores, but RoboCop 2 has a puddle of jizz for a score. Basil Poledouris is replaced by Leonard Roseman and Roseman doesn't bring back any of the famous RoboCop themes from the first movie. Irvin Kershner is a terrible director without a decent script too. Empire was surely a fluke, because this and Never Say Never Again are dirge. He brings absolutely nothing to the table as a director and the film feels smaller than it's budget. Peter Weller and Nancy Allen give equally awful performances mainly because neither of them want to be there. It's a horrible, horrible film which I unfortunately own because it came in the trilogy set. I will never watch it again, though. RoboCop 3 is the real RoboCop 2 and the upcoming (?) RoboCop Returns film, which will erase the events of 2 completely if it ever gets off the ground, will probably be a breath of fresh air and much better written than RoboTurd 2. Predator 2 pisses all over it.
