I went the normie path and voted TLD too because, to this day, it just doesn't feel or look dated.
Whereas, it didn't take long for a film like Goldeneye to show its age (possibly due to the fact that it was a Cold War film made in 1995).
I will say, however, that AVTAK does get way too much flack. Yes, the pacing was a substantial issue of the film and although Roger's age may have been apparent, he still felt like Bond. Just an older Bond and, for the most part, I think AVTAK was written with that in mind.
Plus, it has Walken! Although David Bowie as the villain...what could have been.

View to a Kill for me. Great fun all the way. Walken, Jones, Macnee for f*cks's sake! FYEO is close but not quite as much fun. Licence to Kill is third for me. Living Daylights is okay but I always start nodding off when it hits the Afghanistan section. Agree that Octopussy is the worst. I'm glad Rog didn't go out on that, frankly.

Lol, I wanted to go for Octopussy because it's just so darn stupid, but opted For Your Eyes Only because I rather like that one, although all of the Moore films are pretty good. The only one I'm not that keen on is Moonraker because it's like they wrote the script on the fly.
Moores last one is okay, but it feels a little over long and tired and he's looking far too old by that point.
Daltons first one is good but I wasn't so keen on his second, it felt more like Miami Vice for a good bulk of the film.
(NB - just seen the comments above which echo my own)

The more 80s it is the better I say. As for Goldeneye, the thing that really lets it down is the awful music score by Eric Serra. I know I've said this before, but seriously... what the actual f*ck is this?

Aside from the killer theme song, the soundtrack of Goldeneye is dated - even by 90s standards.

I'd go for For Your Eyes Only now. I think that's definitely the strongest of the bunch, although I would argue Octopussy is by far the most fun. A View to a Kill is generally good even if the stuff involving the horses and the stables goes on for a bit too long. I much prefer it when the action moves to San Francisco. It's the weakest 80s Bond Moore film, but saying that I do think it's better than both Dalton films which I'm not too keen on these days. Octopussy is better than Moore's first two Bond films in my opinion. FYEO feels a bit like OHMSS at times which is a big plus. It's probably the most serious film since that movie as well.
