Went to the cinema to see Deadpool & Wolverine today. With his universe under threat, Deadpool plucks a faiied Wolverine from another dimension to help save his own. Enjoyed it. Is it the greatest movie ever made? No. But it was fun and I did not get bored and start wishing for it to end, so that puts it above the other two I've seen this year.

Goblet of Fire (2005) Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts and is forced into competing in a truly dangerous tournament. That's not the worst of his problems however as the greatest evil of all is about to return... Sorry but before the review can we please talk about Clémence Poésy? She is GORGEOUS. Complete and utter f*cking babe. I need to do some major research and see what else she's in. Review: Ohh this movie has aged like fine wine. Probably even better than Azkaban actually. The whole thing is gloomy and tense but there's just enough humour in there not to make it a dour experience. Roger Lloyd Pack and David Tennant let the side down slightly with some eyeraisingly bad performances. Trigger doesn't quite reach the lows of John Lumic the following year, but he still doesn't look comfortable in these serious roles. Tennant himself overacts but he's thankfully not in the movie for that many scenes. Anyway, probably the best Harry Potter movie. Why didn't this director do the rest instead of David Yates? 10/10

Clemence Poesy is currently starring in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. She's matured into an incredibly beautiful woman

She was also in In Bruges and the UK/French thriller series The Tunnel, which ran for three seasons in the 2010s. She's also appeared in a few of my music videos.

She's also appeared in a few of my music videos. Might be worth giving them a look. Yes, I vaguely remember The Tunnel. I think my mum watched it.

Got a Maths test in a week. Looks like I'm going to have to go 80s and do a study montage (which unfortunately takes much longer in real life). See, if I had a cute 80s babe helping me I probably wouldn't struggle so much. I've aced English but I've yet to get a Maths qualification.

Caught the end of Tomorrow Never Dies on ITV4. It has aged so much better than GoldenEye. I'm not quite sure how Lin survives underwater for five minutes, but the action is good at least. David Arnold's sweeping score does John Barry proud.

David Arnold's sweeping score does John Barry proud. Really I felt the reverse last time I saw them. I'm not just saying that for Big Fam LOL. Her sexiest villain by far is in I Spy, and that film is absolute shit. Plus I LOVE Michelle Yeoh too. I don't know I just think Tomorrow Never Dies wasn't as well paced and Jonathan Pryce though a good actor was a bit too over the top for me.

GoldenEye is the best James Bond film. I will hear no argument against this. Every villain could easily carry their own film. The mood of the Soviet collapse is perfectly conveyed. It has Boris Grishenko. Both Bond girls are stunning. That f*cking climax on the satellite dish.

I never got the hype myself. I enjoy the other Brosnan films, though.

Both Bond girls are stunning. True, but Richards and Marceau do a lot more for me in The World is Not Enough

Both Bond girls are stunning. True, but Richards and Marceau do a lot more for me in The World is Not Enough NO ONE is more attractive than Famke Jansen, apart from maybe Gina Carano, Alti, Xena, Amy (rip) Misha B, Ingrid Oliver, Dana DeLorenzo, Paloma Faith, Freema Agyeman, Simone Kessel, Aimee Garcia and Katey Sagal. Since none of them are in any Bronson movies, then Goldeneye wins.

Pet Shop Boys: It Couldn't Happen Here (1987)
Musical adventure staring the boys as they make their way from Clacton to London, meeting a host of peculiar characters along the way.
My Mum remembers them filming some of this movie on Clacton pier when she was a teenager. I'm a massive fan of this mainly because it's an extended music video. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous as well. Honestly better than some Hollywood productions made at the same time. The music is the main highlight with many of the hits from Please and Actually being used.

Saw Alien Romulus today.
Over all I thought the film was good but not ground breaking or great. I really enjoyed it inspite of that as it's was nice to watch a simple, well made, Alien movie.
This film is not like the Prometheus movies, where you watching a movie that's fighting against itself, trying to explore the wider Alien universe yet not brave enough to full step away from the Xenomorph.
What this film is, at it's core, is a best of Alien movie. The film has scenes, concepts and parallels to pretty much every other alien film. And I do mean every. The original trilogy, Prometheus & Covenant and even to my shock, Resurrection, a film almost none talks about in the fandom these days. There's even some deep law cuts and a surprise cameo of a previous Alien Character.
There are a few unique scenes and set pieces that are good. The over all production is very high.
The cast ranges from fine to good, with the only real stand out being the films new Android character.
Personally I feel the films at it's strongest during its first 2/3s as we get to know the characters and the general tension of the middle act is great, especially early scenes with the Adult Xenomorph. The latter part is still good but is trying to do too many things at once and has to many ideas running around and the films cohesion begins to suffer.
How much you'll like the film is going to come to taste. If you want something brand new, your not going to like it, if you want a decent love letter to the Alien franchise that at least tried to mix in some of it's own ideas along with it's franchise collage and at least feels like it's making an effort, then you'll like it to some degree.
Honestly I really enjoyed but if I was being unbiased I'd say it's a 7/10.
I'd rank it under the first three movies, better then Resurrection & Covenant and either on par with or better then Prometheus depending on my mood.
