I notice she looks at Rose a lot in this scene even though she isn't talking. Maybe Lynda likes a nice blonde too (or that just my fantasy?)

I often don't like the look of Series 1/2, but I actually enjoy the aesthetic of this two parter. It must have something to do with the lighting and some of those bright flashing lights in the background. There's a nice reddish tint in that Lynda/Jack screenshot.  The only other story from the pre 2007 era I find visually appealing is Rise of the Cybermen which also has good lighting and gives off the feel of a big city at night, a bit like Partners in Crime. It just makes me want to go to B&M and do late night shopping. It's very odd.
