The only person I'd nominate is Paul McGann but only on the understanding that absolutely none of the NuWho hacks had a damn thing to do with the series, and we went back to half an hour episodes. Then we could leave close on two decades worth of a shit spin off series behind in favour of a proper continuation. He's getting on a bit now, is old McGann, so they need to hurry up before his hair and teeth fall out. I was going to say, what does Paul actually look like now? Sadly we'll probably have to go through every other 'groundbreaking/overdue/it's time' type of casting for the next few incarnations (First Asian Doctor? First Trans Doctor? First Struck-Off Doctor?), so by the time he gets the chance again either he'll be in the OAP home or the show will have finally been canned! |

What does Gatwa have going for him? Take away the novelty of him being the first this and the first that, what does he actually have that makes him suitable for the role? He's certainly not a very good actor.

Though whether that’s an Earth or Gallifrey problem is open to conjecture… |

Funny to think there would have been a time when I was the only person saying something like that on sites like IMDB and now it's pretty much what the entire fandom thinks outside of the little bubbles in places like reddit and GB. |
