He seems quite nice. I like that he's open about how much the oppurtunity and the fans mean to him. We'd probably differ on our opinions of the show and obviously I wouldn't have cast him, but I have no ill will towards Ncuti whatsoever.

We'd probably differ on our opinions of the show and obviously I wouldn't have cast him, but I have no ill will towards Ncuti whatsoever. I do. I want him to die slowly and painfully of a demonic curse. I want to destroy not just his body, but his soul. I want to his family to die, his friends to die, and the man or woman who drove the bus that took him to school to die, and the cashier he bought his last round of messages from to die. I also want to erase him from all of history and kill anyone who dares speak his name ever again. (In all seriousness though the only thing I will pick him up on in this video is him saying "if you like this show I reckon you are a good person." Someone's never had a conversation with Elizabeth Sandifier, who would say what I did above and f*cking mean it if you dared disagree with her vastly superior opinion of DW.)

"He seems quite nice"
Well he's hardly going to be his insufferable narcissistic self on the official YouTube channel. He's smart enough to know that alienating your audience there isn't a wise move.

I thought he gave us all his message last week. Desperate PR now, is it?

By "the fans" he's referring exclusively to the online NuWho cultists who spend their entire lives kissing his arse and inflicting torrents of abuse on anyone who is insufficiently deferential. Nc*nti made his opinion of actual Doctor Who fans perfectly clear last week.

I hate the word "Whovian". It feels like a semi-affectionate pejorative more than anything

I find it an insult. I'd rather not be grouped together with those nutters.

The people who brand themselves "Whovians" are ironically usually the ones who appropriated the culture since the Moffat years. Yes, the show was bigger than ever, but sorry to say 95% of those new "fans" were not legit at all and were on their bikes once Capaldi arrived. The ones who remain on the gravy train are just extorting the remains for sociopolitical good will.

I hate the word "Whovian". It feels like a semi-affectionate pejorative more than anything I've never used that term. Why is a cutsie word needed? I'm just a Who fan. Except these days, for obvious reasons, it's amended to Classic Who fan. If I'm talking non fans irl, I refer to it as the original series, or the 'old' series. I make sure people understand that I don't like the modern shite. Obviously some younger people think RTD1 is the old stuff. Understandable as it's been around for nearly 20 years now, but I still put them right. lol

You have to do that with practically everything these days, which is sad and irritating.
