so I thought why not base it on a modern horror icon It all sounds fun, but I'm not sure I would count Bruce Campbell as a modern horror icon. This is purely me being pedantic, but if Vincent's a 70s icon, then Bruce belongs in the 80s. Those were their respective heydays. Mind you, I really did enjoy Ash vs Evil Dead, it was a great sendoff (I wish the Chucky show was worth a penny), but I don't think it left an impact on anyone outside of the pre-existing fandom. Yeah it's a shame how slept on it was. Meanwhile if you want to be pedantic, Vincent Price first became a horror icon I believe in the 40s with a Universal horror movie, and he did most of his best work in the 50s and 60s with the Edgar Allan Poe films, so yeah in that respect it's still comparable LOL.

At least Evil Dead as a brand is still going strong with the newer films

To be honest, I find watching TV less and less enjoyable now that my neighbours bang about and scream around for a couple of hours each and every night until at least ten. The walls are very, very thin. It's gotten so bad that I've actually invested in a pair of Sony headphones to try and cancel out the noise, but they don't always do the trick. It's honestly making me miserable and by the time the noise reaches a crescendo I think "what's the point?"

I really like the house itself, it's just the neighbours that are crap. Like my mother says, the neighbours in the next house could be even worse. As much as I complain, I've read horror stories from people about neighbours sending them death threats and what not so maybe I should be thankful it's just noise.

I'm not sure that would be particularly wise. If anything it would make the situation more strained and awkward. The man himself doesn't come across very well and you never know how certain people react if you call them up on their crap. Sometimes they can get really nasty about it.
