Damn, I fell off the wagon real quick. I think because watching this stuff is so exhausting, often there's nothing to grab onto for entertainment value and I have to sit there bored for an hour when I could be doing anything else. Watching Auton reminded me how much I'd rather be watching Terror of the Autons or Spearhead from Space or even Rose.

I find the mere mention of BBV very triggering. It's the Colin Baker snogging Peri scene, still have nightmares about that. Next to a Hartnell orgy in scenes absolutely no one was asking for.

It's been a very long time but I'd have to put Auton over Rose. It's got a little bit of atmosphere at least.

At least the Autons are pretty creepy in it and aren't Graham Norton voiced Michael Jackson moonwalking living plastic people. The central character of Lockwood with his dry authorative acidic wit is far more of a Doctorish character than the chavy binman any day of the week also. |
