Is Moffat love really happening in the year of our lord 2024?
Do not let his charisma fool you, he still wrote Death in Heaven and Hell Bent!

He's never come across as anything but a smug, patronising twat, to me. Admittedly, I haven't watched this particular interview. He's still one of the unholy trinity for his part in NuWho.

Haha don't worry I haven't forgotten those atrocities against mankind. To be fair though my opinion of Moffat has remained fairly consistent, well since 2015 anyway. I basically view him as a good writer for the most part, but one who was ruined by the showrunner position that allowed him to be too self indulgent, and yeah sadly he bowed to pressure from the Beeb and sections of the audience. However unlike Chibbers he does have a great imagination (particularly for horror) and seems like a decent guy. As I said before he was the only one who didn't block me on Instagram when I brought up NPH so he can take his lumps. I admit to being too hard on him at certain points when my anger against the show was at its peak like calling him Moffhack but other than that I hope I've had a fair assessment. Some advice I disagree with that he gave there though is to always blame yourself when your stories go wrong. To be fair to him he was using that about his own work that flopped and being a man about it, saying it was all his fault. Again a much more likable attitude than Joss Whedon who always blames everyone else for whenever his own scripts fail. Joss had the nerve to say it was his cast made of f*cking Sigourney Weaver, Ron Perlman, Michael Wincott, and Winona Ryder that let down his shitty script for Alien Resurrection for instance. Still honestly sometimes you can be let down by other factors, including yes the scheduling like the McCoy era was and just as being too arrogant like Joss is not good, beating yourself up too often isn't either. Still I get where he is coming from and again very admirable in this day and age for one of these showrunners who is worshipped like a god to say that. Who knows unless we find out Moffat has been sacrificing people as part of a cult like Alison Mack was, then he may be the only one of these celebrity showrunners from JNT to Joss, to RTD who doesn't get toppled, as unlike them he seemingly didn't let it get to his head. Again though assuming he isn't leader of a sex cult behind doors LOL. I'm not saying we have any reason to think that, I just ALWAYS remember Alison Mack.

Half of his stories are just him dicking around with the audience's expectations in a childish way. At least RTD tries to tell some kind of a narrative. The 60th specials in all their virtue signaling glory don't come close to the hell Moff subjected us to with Clara and that whole thing.

I'd rather go for a drink with Moffat. RTD would probably talk about himself and then make you pay for everything. Moffat seems like he's got a few interesting things to say.

Yeah, I'm talking about him as a writer exclusively. I'm sure he'd be fun to hang out with.
But his writing infuriated me. Chibs was just consistently dull. RTD was okay with moments of insanity. Moff was irritating with moments of sanity.

I'll always take Moffat over the other two assclowns even if his era was still a disappointment like everything else in new poo.
