Again from The Windsors. (Seriously check it out. Maxil you need to see Morgana Robinson in particular.) "We don't need the Royal Family to unite us as a nation. What about the Beatles?" "There's only so many times we can hear Paul McCartney say we were just a really tight band you know." "Well about Doctor Who?" "Noooooo that's gone gay." Seriously though what is wrong with RTD? He is a supreme narcissist. He has to completely reshape the entire character and his history to reflect him because he is so utterly obsessed with this ONE aspect of his persona. Forget Newton, Donna is pretty hot these days. Looks way better than she did back in 2008.

Look, people expect you to base episodes on old episodes, on classic episodes like Genesis of the Daleks and The Caves of Androzani or Blink or, you know, The Timeless Child. I don't think anyone really expected me to base an episode on Underworld, because that's what we've done.
RTD from a recent interview. LMAO.

Ironically it ended up being *much* better thsn Under-sodding-world The big issue is that he tried to make out that Timeless Children is a classic like Genesis! You'd only want to base an episode of it, if you'd reach the stage where you wanted your career to basically do this.

I wonder where he found the inspiration for the "brainy specs"... Look at what he was wearing pre- and during 2005. A leather jacket just like 9. And post-2005 he usually wore a blazer and tie much resembling 10. The guy is a supreme narcissist

God, this article... www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/doctor-who-season-14-episode-2-review-b1124394.html"Peak woke for Doctor Who: "Isaac Newton was of Indian heritage and the Doctor fancies him." Yes David Tennant is back in the swing of things as the Doctor in gleefully freewheeling fashion - strap in for a boundary-breaking classic"
"Wait, the Doctor isn't gay! and I think you’ll find Sir Isaac was very much white!’ splutter a thousand GB News trolls in their front rooms, before hurling their toad-in-the-holes at the flat screen. Come now, chaps, sit back down. Of course the Doctor has to be a bit gay - knowing the flux of genders he’s been through by this stage, it makes perfect sense for him to be bisexual at the very least. As for the Newton stuff, well, who really cares about the details, he's supposed to be sexy in this and Curtis most certainly is that"How f*cking smug could you possibly be. He said this about The Star Beast as well: He is (Tennant), without doubt, the best ever Doctor, but that won't stop the GB News-crowd spilling their white tea in rage.Imagine being that obsessed with another news outlet.

Nothing screams "progressive champion of the disabled" like getting sucked off by George Osborne's publication, eh Russell?

This shouldn't bother me, but why is there still a double standard where it is completely fine for writers to salivate over "hot" male actors in professional articles but whenever a male writer does it over a "hot" woman he's immediately called up on his objectifying behaviour and labelled sexist?

It is though an added bonus that that brainless grifting dimwit Darren Crimes is oh so distressed by five seconds of dialogue in a show he didn't watch.

Aside from the prologue which wasn't in keeping with the rest of the episode I'd say this was bordering on a classic. Tense, spectacular, the two leads fizzing off each other with a slow burn to build the tension. All ending with Wilfrid Mott's return. 9/10
