Is it worth money then? Is it worth me putting mine up on ebay? Actually, some people on Ebay are selling their copies for £30-£40 Meh, not enough for me to be bothered about then.

There's a sealed set currently on Ebay available through Buy It Now for £32.50. Looks like the release had an initial price of £9.99.

Every episode of the 2000s CBBC magazine show "Totally Doctor Who" has been added to i-player
I actually never watched this back in the day, the only kids channels I was still watching around then were Jetix and Cartoon Network (and barely at that)
I just finished episode 1, it's cringe, with patronising presenters, a young Doctor Who fan who gets fed obscure questions about RTD era Who and nothing about the classics, She gets almost every question wrong. Her opponent gets almost everything wrong too and wins on ONE point, and it is decreed he is a Doctor Who Guru! Who was this fountain of knowledge? Noel Clarke.
Also a look at the fan film "The Fatal Fear"...wonder if that's still on Youtube? They go on a bit about innovative Chroma-Key is.
Of all the Companion Academy candidates, I wonder how many are watching themselves and feeling embarrassed? Or if any of them even still watch?

I find it strange there's this at the bottom of Remembrance Part 2:
"Vintage sci fi taking us on adventures in time and space, reflecting the broadcast standards and attitudes of its time. "
I know it's referring to the racist sign, but that's not a reflection of 1988 television standards. The point was to illustrate the bigotry of contemporary sixties characters such as Mike. This also ties in with the Daleks' own racial war later on in the story.

The "depiction = endorsement" brainlets strike again. And yet Rosa doesn't have one. It's so inconsistent. I understand why they put disclaimers on episodes, but it seems like someone has totally misunderstood the impact and intention of a pretty obvious anti racist scene. If we're going to be equally as picky, why doesn't Aliens of London get a disclaimer for having Rose use the term gay as an insult towards the Doctor?

This also ties in with the Daleks' own racial war later on in the story. They are aware that it was made in 1988 and not in 1963, right? It's a period episode. It's reflective of the attitudes of a different time, not the time in which it was made per se. And the story is clearly socially critical instead of conformist- the whole story is a critique of the roots of racial hatred. Eagerly taking offence is clearly preferable to engaging in close analysis, hence the rationale behind the Davros change...

"And I had problems with that, and a lot of us on the production team had problems with that- of associating homosexuality with negative characteristics, and trust me, there's a very long tradition of this."
