I prefer Batman Forever over Batman Returns (I love both, though)
I also think European Vacation is the best out of the "Vacation" sequels
I prefer Rocky V over Rocky II
Die Hard 2 is better than Die Hard 4 (That's a fact)

Well I agree with 2 and 4. 1 is just bollocks though.

It's terrible, sorry Maxil. I love both, but Forever IS a better Batman film because it actually explores Batman as a character as well as Bruce Wayne. Batman completes an arc in Forever. This isn't the case in Returns however which is obviously more interested in the villains which is completely fine too.

Psycho II and III are both more entertaining and interesting than Hitchcock's original
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut is the only truly great Superman film from the Reeve series
For Your Eyes Only is the weakest Roger Moore James Bond film. No Time to Die is the best Daniel Craig one.
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is the Star Trek film that feels the most like TOS.

This isn't the case in Returns however which is obviously more interested in the villains which is completely fine too. That's actually a decent defense of Forever. I like Forever too. I even saw it in the cinema in Stranraer, which is one of my first memories. (Though even then I still didn't think it was as good as Batman TAS that we watched every day haha.) Overall though it is definitely an inferior film in my opinion than Batman Returns. Tommy Lee Jones is AWFUL as Two Face. He just cackles in a really annoying way, also his Two Face lacks the depth and tragedy that really defines the character. Jim Carrey is hilarious and excellent of course, and steals the film. (Tommy Lee Jones seems to have realised this and was an asshole to Jim Carrey on set about it.) Meanwhile in Returns Devito and Pfieffer and Walken were all at the top of their game and all have great arcs. Meanwhile whilst Kilmer is a decent Batman, Keaton was more memorable in terms of bringing menace and a more defined sardonic sense of humour to the part, where as Kilmer, even with the meatier scenes is a bit more straightforward and bland. Then there is the music and the direction. I'm not a fan of the Neon lights Gotham. It looks too designed, too over done and too plastic, where as the Burton movie's visuals are not only more striking they really add to the plot, making Gotham feel like a place that is crumbling under its own corruption. Forever is underrated though and is often sadly dragged down by Batman and Robin's reputation IMO.

I rated the Donner Cut once, but it's insanity to pass it off as an actual movie. Lester's version is at least polished and feels like a finished film. Donner's cut is full of sub par effects, distracting modern sound effects and, to be honest, weaker alternate scenes. I also hate how they deliberately left out good Lester scenes just because Donner had a grudge against him.

It's godawful, I'm sorry. It was shite at the cinema back in the day, and it was shite a few years back when I tried to watch it on Blu. That some people think this universe is the same as Burton's because a couple of the supporting actors are the same never fails to make me laugh.
Superman II - the Lester cut - is however by far the best Superman movie ever made.

The original Superman is the best of the series, but III is the most underrated. Pryor, evil Superman, a robot woman... what's not to enjoy?

There's a nice nod to the first film in Forever.
Robin: You can't understand. Your parents weren't killed by a maniac.
Bruce: Yes, they were...
He's obviously talking about the Joker.
