It's eerie how life like some of them are. 

This one of the big nosed goddess singing Radio Gaga (the song that inspired her) honestly does sound legit at times. Ultimately though I think it struggles with some notes in a way that Lady Gaga not only never would, but would really make the most out of in the song. 




Then there is this hilarious one of Johnny Cash. 




Scary thinking how far this will go. Honestly though when I was young I always hoped that technology would reach a point where we wouldn't need to work and could just all be artists. Now however it's reached a stage where even working 9 and a half hours in a call centre where I want to kill myself is still barely enough to pay the bills, whilst computers are being used to replace great artists like Lady Gaga and Johnny Cash. No doubt about it that I live in a weird backwards universe.

Heard a few Amy Winehouse AI's and they are f*cking awful. I'm not saying that as a "oh she's so special no one could replicate it." The Lady Gaga ones are amazing and you all know how much I love her.

It's hard to describe why the Amy ones are terrible. It might be because the AI struggles with her accent, which admittedly was a kind of weird mix of american (when she sang) with still very strong hints of cockney? Like Hey Little Rich Girl. Johnny Cash and Gaga always sing in a very clear straight forward accent.

I guess it goes to show you why the AI can never truly replace a human voice as it's not that Amy is a better singer than Gaga, but that tiny little bit of unpredictability in her voice, a machine can't do.......... Yet.

This Lady Gaga one is brilliant.



Again though it is a little bit flat compared to the real one. The "Yeah" bit would have been so much better from the real Gaga. Honestly having had time to see some more of these, now that I'm over the novelty of it, I don't think we are in any danger of worrying about AI taking over music. Honestly I think that the current paranoia about AI is stupid. To me it's like the fear monger version of when people in the 60s thought we'd be living in a Star Trek style future by the 90s. Humanity always tends to overestimate its own abilities, whether that's for good or bad. We probably aren't any closer to building Terminators than we are the USS Enterprise.

Some more good Gaga ones. Honestly even in AI her voice is just the sexiest. You can hear she has a big nose LOL in her voice. It shines through. 






Here's an Amy one with Frank Sinatra (her idol.) Doing a Beyonce song! Amy's is a bit better here, but it isn't as strong, and sounds way too high to be Amy. It lacks that great raspy, guttaral sound she had. It could maybe pass vaguely for the Frank era Amy, but by the end it sounded like an American pop princess, with all the cockney grit lost. Still I prefer this to the original. Even AI Amy and Sinatra are better than the real Beyonce LOL.
