He did several of the BBC Books, some of which were pretty decent - Deep Blue was a particularly engaging 5th Doctor seaside horror story with 70s UNIT. I think he did one of the Tennant ones too, again with a horror tone (though probably toned down).

Could be worse. Could be Nigel "Bayban and Gan were besties, and Avon's dad was a genocidal cultist" Fairs. Oh my god is that actually true? You really can't parody Big Finish these days. Nigel is some kind of special case, all he ever writes are insane backstories that nobody asked for

David Tennant has a second chance to get playing Doctor Who right, and he still goes for Tommy Steele with an upward inflection. RTD, who's genius for self-promotion is only seconded by his non-genius in writing a professional standard Doctor Who script. With extra American money and interference by the people who think extending Kathleen Kennedy's Lucasfilm contract to the year 10 Trillion is the way to go. Then when it's eventually shown and we point out what a load of rubbish their end product is, we get personally attacked, in exactly the way creators of the past didn't do, because they had genuine faith in the quality and integrity of what they were doing. Yeah, can't wait (if it crashes and burns).
