I'm currently working on a Red Dwarf story. I've come up with a story, but not much else. It's set during Series 7.
Lister awakes one morning on Starbug to find the ship's vital systems smashed up. He's adament it wasn't him during a drunken escapade, Kryten is adament it's new crew member Kochanski and Cat is too busy preening himself in the mirror to really give a smeg. It gets even worse when essential items start to go missing. Suspicion starts to get the better of the crew, but it's not long before they realize the terrible truth behind the sabotage...

On a whim, I wrote a Doctor Who audio play using Elevenlab A.I voice cloning. I've scheduled it to air on Youtube at 7 PM on November 23rd
Been trying to start a novelization of a Doctor Who story, but don't feel the ability is within me.

I like to get images from Doctor Who stories up on my computer and describe the scene in 250 words or so. I've done this several times with the sewers in Talons and the rain lashed countryside in Fenric. It helps me a lot with my own writing.

I'm writing a 1,000 words story for my first uni assignment. I must say for the first time ever that I wish we were given a larger word count. I often get writer's block, but when that clears I am at my creative best and can't stop writing.

Coffee prompt: Two mates share a flat and one of them discovers the other has drunk all the coffee. Just a quick dialogue exercise.
Sam: Why are you checking in the fridge, there's no coffee left.
Gareth: Sorry?
Sam: I am too. I drunk the last of it.
Gareth: You did what?
Sam: Well, when one wants to consume a drink they usually put it up to their lips and -
Gareth: Don't be an idiot. How could you have drunk all the coffee, there was a whole carton full just last night. I checked before I went to bed.
Sam: Yes, and I checked sometime after you went to bed and there wasn't a drop.
Gareth: So you drunk it. Marvellous. It's pissing down with rain as well. I'm not going out there to get some more. You finished it off, you get it.
Sam: I don't want any. You're in desperate need of it, you get it.
Gareth: I'll get soaked.
Sam: Well you should have thought of that before you woke up with an insatiable craving for coffee. Besides, our war heroes fought in the pouring rain. Many of them had to swim around in muddied water in the trenches. Walking ten minutes up the road is nothing in comparison.
Gareth: They used to gorrote their enemies in the war, too. Shall I demonstrate for you?
Sam: There's nothing to do that with either. Maybe you could ask at the checkout when you go to the shop?
Gareth: Sod it, I'll have some tea.
Sam: No tea bags I'm afraid.
Gareth: Are you serious? Bloody hell Sam, were you having a party last night? Did you finish off the mouldy cheese in the fridge too?
Sam: Just have water.
Gareth: I don't know, have we still got a tap?
Sam: Ha.
Doesn't really go anywhere, but I'm working on it.

Don't listen to the voice that says you can't do it. When I practice my writing I always pick images from Who stories and attempt to describe the scene in my own words. This is the best way to do a novelization. Here's an early test I did: The Doctor knelt down to examine the body of the deceased solider. Just as he’d thought, a displacement of body parts. A particularly nasty way to go. He deducted that the only way for the soldier’s innards to become that scrambled was by a projected energy weapon. He had the unpleasant feeling that he knew what kind of energy weapon it was and more importantly what controlled it. He looked up to see Rachel and Gilmore looking wonderingly at him. This is the bit where I explain, thought the Doctor. Gilmore was naturally bewildered by the concept of anything unnatural, but Rachel was on the brink of understanding. “A death ray?” The Doctor nodded, “very succinct.” There was something knowledgeable about this strange little man, something that made Rachel believe him.The Doctor turned his icy blue eyes onto Gilmore. “I really do hope you have reinforcements coming.."

My current idea has the working title 'Life Plus'. It's about a chip with the intention of keeping the population happy - not miles from the usual sci-fi obsessions, but my own spin on it. Like most of my stuff it's going to be 40k words, so a novella rather than a novel.

I'm rewriting the Celestial Toymaker from scratch. It's more or less the same premise, but I'm doing it a different way with my own rules, plot points and challenges. I don't feel compelled to abide by the rules of the original serial, but I am making sure that my writing of the characters is faithful to that of the TV characters. The first task for Steven and Dodo is to find the TARDIS which is hidden deep within an enlarged Victorian house (a prop of the Toymaker's which is also *much* bigger on the inside than out) The Toymaker attempts to throw them off the scent by creating many different rooms. One is the hall of despair, a seemingly endless hall which is designed to depress the ones who play the Toymaker's deadly games to the point where they crumble and lose the will to resume their task (the Toymaker has set a time limit on the companions finding the TARDIS. If not done in the allocated time, the companions become residents of the bleak house forever). Steven is disturbed by hanging pictures of Katarina's death, the Daleks, Sara Kingdom's demise, the Trojan house and of course the bloody scenes from the Massacre of St. Bartholomew. Dodo is shown pictures of attending the funeral of her late mother and the intense bullying she received as a child. Both appear to let the sadness overcome them which leads into the cliffhanger for episode one.
I'm only at the draft stage at the moment, but I've written 900 words today and I'm going through with it.

I have a few things at the moment that I want to get finished by the end of the year and then adapted.
My plan for the rest of the year is as follows.
Rest of Dionne P Nash (just two parts left.)
Then and 11 parter that looks through the history of the shared universe I'm building up.
Then the Circus Family, about a time travelling circus who fight demons and monsters throughout all of time and space, which is 14 episodes long. This is the one Sophie Aldred is reading for me right now. She's already recorded the first two parts.
Then Monsters of Galloway, a four parter.
Then a couple of 1 part stories that again flesh things out in this universe, which include.
Vampire War, about an organisation who exist in the nebular outside of time and can travel to any period, and battle vampires throughout all of time and space.
Michelle Mistress of Time: This is loosely inspired by Silver Nemesis. It's about a witch who repels an invasion by robot men in the Elizabethan time, and is then forced to travel forward to the modern day to battle them when they return.
A story set during the age of the Dinosaurs about a group of sentient Raptors. This follows a Raptor who uses magic and battles supernatural forces that have emerged in the age of the Dinosaurs.
I have even more, but that's all in the immediate future LOL.

Screenplay about the murder of a local superhero known as the Bumblebee
You might call it a rumination on the decline of the superhero genre, but if I'm being honest it's not really about the murder per se. It's really about the old world colliding with the new, and the way relationships change and fragment as you get older and the "good times" have long since faded away.

The Doctor and Ace arrive in a quiet English village in 1935. The village is buzzing for the weekend's entertainment at the dance hall to mark 20 years since the village's beloved explorer Arthur Foxby passed away. Little do they know that Foxby brought back something deadly from his travels, something he bricked up behind the walls of an old crypt beneath the local church, something he wished to heavens he had never picked up. When the horrors behind the crypt are unleashed in 1935, the Doctor and Ace must prevent the entire population of the village from becoming the very first victims of an alien race with one intention: to mulitiple and make Earth their own. Humans aren't needed...
*The thing Foxby picked up were a pair of weird-looking eggs which are in fact aliens ready to hatch. The aliens grow and multiple (not through a sexual way. I'll make something up) behind the walls of the crypt. This leads to this exchange:
Ace: Professor, how come they didn't starve down there. There wasn't any food.
Doctor: The (insert name of race here) can go twenty years without sustenance before they become ravenous.
Ace: How long were they bricked up in there?
Doctor: For about... 20 years.
Ace: and what do they eat?
Doctor: You won't like the answer to that question either...
Just something I thought up this evening. It's not even at the first draft stage yet.

Finished Book #1 of my Ten/Martha series - just editing and adding artwork.
Currently writing Book #2, and I will continue doing so until mid-to-late May.
Then start planning Book #3.
All three will be released in the latter part of the year.
I'm having a lot of fun researching weapons, tools, clothing, technology, and illnesses from the 1880s in America. Book 2 is set in the old west.
