Can I also say that I don't want the Cushing movies canonised either? They are practically the only bits of Who media that have not been tainted by the Fitzroy Crowd or Big Finish, or linked in with their stupid agendas. Can't any piece of DW media be free of their clamy embrace?

It's just something I thought may happen given what little we know. If the Toymaker is our villain, he's likely behind the appearance of Beep the Meep and possibly why the Doctor has returned to his Tennant apperences, which reminded me of that old interview. |

I'm not a BF fan ,but even in the early days they did some decent stuff. It's a joke these days. I just don't know why they would want to draw parallels between Rose and Susan of all companions? I mean revealing that Romana's name meant Rose in Gallifreyan would be understandable, but f*cking Susan? |

I never have understood this obsession with Rose. Perhaps it's down to bad experiences with her fans, I suppose. I remember commenting on a picture of Rose's flat back in 2013 which seemed to imply that she might return in Time of the Doctor (it turned out to be where Clara's nan lived). I said that I personally didn't want her to come back again and was told to kill myself in return. He didn't stop there as he messaged the fanpage I commented as with further comments about wanting me to die. Can't really be surprised at such behaviour from this fandom though, can you? I mean, you would know Burrunjor. We're both in the "I've been told to kill myself" club!

I much prefer the Blake's 7 fanbase. I used to be on the site where they'd watch an episode every Tuesday and discuss it at the same time. I joined in a few times and had a lot of fun. They were just so laid back and friendly.

I mean, you would know Burrunjor. We're both in the "I've been told to kill myself" club! I was just about to ask if it was Elizabeth Sandifier. It probably wasn't Claudia Boleyn haha. Honestly it's a shame that the fandom has become so cult like, but that is what happens when you mix politics so closely and characters become "representation" to the point where if they are criticised then these people think you are attacking their race and sexuality. I also agree Blake's 7 fandom is a lot more fun. By a shocking coincidence, the shows that have not been revived, rebooted and slaughtered by the culture war bullshit like B7, Buffy and Xena have the best, most friendly fandoms. It's a coincidence I'm sure. |
