Oh, that's a beautiful pick. Shada is my favourite Tom Baker story. Even my mom loved that one, and she'll rate Eccleston/Tennant over the classics any day of the week.

It's the only Doug Adams thing I really like. I don't think City of Death is crap, just overrated. The Doc and Romana come across as very smug to me in this one.

Yeah, same.
They have this attitude of invincibility which makes everything boring. Plus, with Julian Glover being so matter-of-fact, there's really nothing to be engage with.
To be fair, I might like Shada a lot less if it wasn't for the animated sequences. Christopher Neame's menacing 2017 performance is infinitely superior to his 1980 scenery chewing. Tom is also much more low-key, and as a result wields more gravitas.
