The Ark in Space. I like the general idea of it, but the sets are bland and the creatures themselves aren't very well realized. The editing is also poor and the acting from the guest stars is very stitled. Both RTD and Moffat rate this highly, but I'd be careful to recommend a new viewer this story as their introduction to classic who because they might not come back again.

The Ark in Space and Talons of Weng Chang. I completely agree with Maxil about the former, the later meanwhile doesn't have the best pace, has some absolutely laughable effects, dated racial stereotypes and is a bit indulgent at points.
Overall I'd say it overcomes these thanks to how well the setting is utilised, the performance from Michael Spice as Magnus Greel, and his backstory, but not enough to make it an all time classic that you would introduce a new viewer to the show with, such as Genesis, Mind Robber, Curse of Fenric, Robots of Death, Remembrance, Inferno etc. To put it in their league is absurd to be honest.

None of those episodes even come close to Talons, let alone beat it out lmao (excepting perhaps Mind Robber and Genesis)

Genesis. So dour, so dull, so overrated. Yak has genuinely godawful taste, I'm sorry.

City of Death never did anything for me - everyone's so casual that it lacks any sense of stakes.

Brain of Morbius is another one I find to be a bit of a slog.

Brain of Morbius is another one I find to be a bit of a slog. I wonder how many classic fans look on it fondly now seeing as it was the genesis of the timeless Doctors twist? Not that many to list for me...but.... -Terror of the Zygons, I don't feel it comes truly together until episode 4

I'm not gonna blame Robert Holmes for Chib's madness lol (He has enough sins with the Two Doctors retcons)

I'm not sure I'd blame Holmes for that. Ian Levine was continuity consultant so why didn't he point out the obvious errors in the script? Perhaps he did and maybe Saward's reverence of Holmes meant that he didn't want to touch his script.

I don't really like Season 6B anyway. I mean, are fans going to invent an imaginary season every time they find continuity errors in a story?

As far as I can tell, there aren't any continuity errors between The War Games and Spearhead from Space. Yes, the Doctor is back in his TARDIS, but it's reasonable to assume the Time-Lords allowed him to keep it, just not pilot it (it is his home, after all). Like most of these "continuity errors" or whatever, it's a whole lot of fuss over nothing and can be explained away in a sentence or two, much like the case of the Morbius Doctors.
