An average looking women for a horrible man. Am I right that they killed themselves?
You know one way to judge a man is how he faces defeat. Not only did this tyrannical monster rule over one of the most horrific regimes in human history, he was such a pathetic creature that he couldn't face his enemies in the end. Either in a last ditch fight or on trial. Suicide is not the cowards way out, but it is their final escape route.

I think they killed themselves so they wouldn't be tortured beyond recognition when they were eventually found. He even tested poison on his poor dog.
Eva was attractive physically, but there's not much about her as a person that's particularly appealing. I suspect she probably did know what was going on at the time too.
I don't think committing suicide is a coward's way out in most cases. I've been there and literally the world is so dark and bleak that you would do anything to make the misery end. I believe this country needs to improve the support for mental health sufferers to prevent more people killing themselves.

I agree that it was smart of Hitler to kill himself before the allies got him as the suffering he would have endured would have been beyond comprehension. I'm just sorry that he did kill himself before they could give him his just desserts.
That said however, whose to say the Americans would have? When you look at the ex number of Nazis the yanks had in their ranks right up until the 1970s it's utterly disgraceful.
Hell it was a former Nazi that helped the Americans kill Che! ALso apparently when you look through the NASA hall of fame for scientists, it's said to be like a whose who of Nazi war criminals.
It's why View To A Kill annoys me the way it has a former Nazi working with the Russians. Again I understand that the people who made it, were just buying into the "Russian's bad" propaganda, but in actual fact, the Russians lost more to defeat the Nazis whilst the Americans were the ones to give them shelter.
Hell even we weren't innocent. I can't quite remember his name, was it Alber Speer? The one who was up to his neck in it, but was given a lighter sentence for ratting the others out and became a celebrity in the 60s, even doing a publicity shot with the Beatles!

I do not view suicide as the cowards way out, I’ve been there myself also. Sometimes life can just be so hard and unyelleding in beating you down that sadly it becomes to much. However true cowards seem choose that option over facing the consequences of their actions. Maybe it just my experiences but I’ve seen people do everything to shift blame, pretend they did nothing wrong , were always right and then run. I’ve tried my hardest to always face my mistakes and wrongs, to do better and break out of the “hero of my own story” mindset I’ve seen others trapped in. So in my eyes, to do all he did and then end it like that, he’s a coward.

I can't see anything about that online!? Though it does show how easy it is to be associated with a legacy of evil - I bet Speer wishes he'd appeared with the Stones instead!

Sorry it wasn't a publicity shot, but they partied with him, which is arguably worse LOL. Here is an article where someone talks about swinging 60s and mentions Speer being a part of it. variety.com/2022/film/news/beatles-jane-birkin-1235208066/Again doesn't mean the Beatles were Nazis obviously. They bought into the bullshit of him being the one who had seen the light, but it does show you how whitewashed history can become.

Is it true he only had one testicle? So the song testifies. It testifies his testis. Obviously British intelligence upon such matters was not exactly so secret or confidential.

Someone bought her knickers for £3,700 www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-49755334The buyer is obviously quite kinky. Sucks for him if they were washed beforehand, though.

He should have bought her skirt instead judging by that photo.

This whole thread reminds me of this bit from the New Statesman.
Protester: "You'd side with Hitler wouldn't you?"
Alan B'Stard: "Well Eva Braun had no complaints."
Also this bit from Family Guy.

If I could date anyone from that period it would be Sophie Scholl. She led a student resistance against Hitler by distributing anti-war leaflets at Munich university. A truely brave political activist who was sadly executed for treason. This is a real hero to me, not some singer or actor, but someone who was willing to look death right in the face to resist against fascist powers and spread the word of freedom. "How can we expect righteousness to prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give himself up individually to a righteous cause?" I actually have a book about her and if it's still in print I really recommend picking it up if you're interested in such people.
