Vote Vote VOTE! Oh dear! Delta is probably my preferred story from this season, but even that getting thru to the shootout seems a bit weird. Eventually Paradise Towers lost out in my vote. Could have been decent but such a botched production and directorial job it makes Warriors Of The Deep seem like a masterpiece! |

On reflection, I’ve cast a 3rd vote for PT.
Mainly because I’ve voted for 3 stories in every round so far, and at least PT’s concept is good, even the realisation and performances are appalling.
Delta however, is proto-NuWho. 😛

I held off on voting for Paradise Towers because the tone and production is so off. It's got a similar issue to Nightmare of Eden, except amplified tenfold. The script is an interesting one, with Kakfaesque undertones and a Gilliam-inspired aesthetic, but the over-the-top production and shrill pantomimic tone undermines it completely and makes the whole story feel utterly botched. I think Delta is my preferred story here too, but it's the best of a troubled season, and it is very much the benchmark for the tone of the RTD era. |

I've never really got the appeal of Dragonfire. It's a bit of a disappointment after the offbeat and unique Delta.

The best thing about it is probably Dominic Glynn's score, assuming I'm thinking of the right one. The rest of it is pretty rubbish. The stuff with the child is odd too. Unsure what purpose any of that served to the story. |

Dragonfire is the weakest script of the era for me while Fenric is easily the best or second best. |
