Ingrid Oliver. If she counts as a companion however then it has to be the girl from the God Complex. Rita played by Amara Karan. Much more memorable character than Lynda with a Y and a much more poignant death scene.

The fact that you think the Daleks might get into the room, but then you find out a bunch of them are just hovering outside the window is pretty dark. I like how you don't hear them say Exterminate, you just see the lights flash on the Dalek's head. Aww, Lynda...

We don't get enough purely wholesome companions. I love Sarah Jane as much as anyone, but I'm tired of all the writers badly imitating that sassy equal archetype. Give me more of the likes of Vicki and Jamie, where they genuinely adore the Doctor.

Much more memorable character than Lynda with a Y and a much more poignant death scene. While I agree that her death was perfectly executed, I've always thought that relegating her to a one-off guest character was one of NuWho's biggest missed opportunities. Frankly, she should have been Matt's next companion. Amara had better chemistry with him than Jenna ever did, and Rita was a far more likeable character than Clara... or at the very least, she was a character rather than a plot device turned political mouthpiece.

Absolutely! She would have been one of the best companions of all time. As I said in another thread I don't know why she isn't in more. If I was doing a sci fi series she'd be the lead pronto or at least one of the leads.

/thread WOW what story was she in? f*ck she is beautiful. Waters of Mars. Though, she was more the "red shirt" of the episode in the sense she's mostly in the background. She only has around one line of dialogue with the Doctor.
