The best is The Time Warrior, but my personal favourite is The Invasion of Time. Although I like the serial, I do find the Gallifrey stuff incredibly dull and tedious in The Deadly Assassin, at least until the action switches to the Matrix. The Gallifrey scenes in this one are much better with Milton Johns giving a good performance as the incredibly slimy Kelner. I also like the beautiful Rodan and the fact that there are actually women in this story. The Sontarans appear quite late into the story, but the last two episodes with them are some of the most entertaining and fun episodes of the entire season. I like the fact that there are more of them this time compared to the one Sontaran in the previous two stories.
I think all the Sontaran stories are pretty good except maybe The Sontaran Experiment which is a bit of a flat two parter.

This is the best theme for the Sontarans, though.

Time Warrior is easily the best. Sontaran Experiment is watchable, but it's just kind of filler. Invasion of Time does nothing for me, and Two Doctors does not benefit from them being in it.

The Time Warrior is easily the most endearing (Linx is a magnificent creation), although The Two Doctors, despite using the Sontarans superfluously, has some hilarious dialogue and character interactions. The scene where Shockeye casually discovers and brings in Styke's severed leg (after being blown up) never fails to make me laugh.

While Time Warrior was objectively better, I think my vote goes to Experiment.
While Linx was quite well rounded as villain, Styre is genially intimidating. Despite it's short length the story also has a great feeling of danger to it.
